
BELMONT APPOINTS JOSEPH RINGWALD, P.ENG. TO THE BOARD
Belmont Resources Inc. (TSX.V -BEA) (the "Company") is pleased to
announce that Joseph P. Ringwald, P.Eng., has agreed to join the Board of Directors
of Belmont. Mr. Ringwald's most recent experience was the Vice President
of Project Development for Brett Resources Inc. on its Hammond Reef, Atikokan,
Ontario project, and others. He was also responsible for the technical
and social development of Brett's advanced projects. Mr. Ringwald is a
mining engineer with over 25 years of experience in the construction and mining
industries. His domestic and international mine development experience
spans dozens of precious and base metal, uranium, coal, industrial minerals
and diamond projects. Senior industry roles include Vice President Technical
Services and Sustainable Development with Tournigan Energy Ltd., on gold and
uranium projects in Slovakia and a gold project in Northern Ireland; Technical
Director of Mining with Amec Americas Limited on projects including Huidong
gold (China), Eagle nickel (USA), Hammerstone aggregate and lime (Canada), Agua
Rica copper-gold (Argentina), Malmbjerg molybdenum (Greenland), and numerous
others; Vice President- Project Development with Crew Development Corporation
on the Nalunaq Gold Project in Greenland; Senior Mining Engineer with SRK Consulting;
and Senior Mining Engineer with Placer Dome Technical Services Ltd.
Belmont also announces that subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, it has granted 600,000 stock options to directors, officers and consultants of the Company. The options are set for a period of three years, expiring August 26, 2013, and will allow the holders to purchase shares in the Company at a price of $0.10.
